Dr Sarah Gutman

Dr. Gutman is a cardiologist at The Alfred specialising in heart failure, transplantation and non-invasive imaging (including cardiac MRI, cardiac CT and echocardiography).

After completing her basic physician training at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dr. Gutman underwent advanced cardiology training at Monash Heart followed by a non-invasive imaging fellowship at The Alfred. She completed her PhD at The Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute in 2021 after which she undertook a fellowship at The Alfred in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation.

Dr. Gutman’s research interests include the use of cardiac MRI in risk stratification of heart failure patients. She is passionate about cardiac health in disadvantaged populations, specifically Indigenous Australians.
